Amazon preference:

When you visit our site for the first time, our script has an educated guess about where you are in the world based on your IP address. If it determines that you are likely to be from the UK, then the value of the amazon cookie is set to uk, the default value is us. This value is then read by our scripts each time you load a page, and offers products from Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.com depending on the value.
Expires: 365 days after your last visit.

"Your List" feature:

The first time you use the "Your List" feature two new values are added to the site cookie. CartID contains a value that identifies a remote shopping cart on Amazon's server. HMAC is the value of the "passcode" that must be sent along to Amazon with the cart id to authorise any changes you wish to make. These values come directly from Amazon and are used to identify a temporary shopping cart where product details are kept at Amazon ready for when you click through. Because any interaction between you and Amazon is done through our server - Amazon does not know who you are until you click through to purchase the items you have stored in the remote cart.
Expires: 90 days after you last changed or created the cart.

Last search term

If you came from a search engine and we can determine what keywords you used to find our site, then we will store them in the searchTerm cookie to enable you to search other pages at our site for the same keywords without having to type them in. Otherwise, the value of this cookie is not set until you use our site search.
Expires: 365 days after your last visit.

If you wish to reset your cookie or change your Amazon site preference then you can do so simply by using the form below. Doing so will clear any values for cartID, HMAC and searchTerm you may have in your cookie, thus emptying "Your List" and blanking out the terms in the site search box.
